What We Collect
We collect the information you provide directly to us, including your email address, account profile details, billing information, and any support messages you send to InterviewCopilot.
When you use the product, we also process interview-related inputs such as resume uploads, job descriptions, screenshots you choose to analyze, audio used for live transcription, and generated interview guidance. We only collect the content needed to deliver the feature you request.
How We Use Data
We use your information to create and secure your account, provide subscriptions and billing, deliver the product’s AI-assisted interview features, communicate important account or product updates, and improve product reliability.
We do not sell your personal information. We use service providers such as hosting, database, authentication, analytics, payment, and email vendors only to operate InterviewCopilot on our behalf.
Audio, Screenshots, and AI Processing
InterviewCopilot is designed to process highly sensitive material, including live interview audio, transcripts, resumes, and screenshots. That data may be transmitted to our infrastructure and AI model providers strictly for the purpose of generating the features you request.
Because this information can contain confidential or personal content, you should only use InterviewCopilot where you have the right to do so and in a way that complies with the rules, policies, and laws that apply to your interviews and workplace.
Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising Measurement
We use authentication cookies or tokens to keep you signed in and secure your account. We also use PostHog in a privacy-minimized, cookieless mode to measure aggregate page visits and conversion steps based on our legitimate interest in improving the service. This mode does not use browser storage or create person profiles. PostHog uses a rotating daily server-side hash, disables geolocation, and does not retain the IP address for this measurement. We respect browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals.
With your consent, we additionally use persistent PostHog analytics and Google Ads and X Ads measurement tools to understand product usage and attribute advertising campaigns. Optional analytics and advertising storage remain disabled unless you allow them. The Google and X advertising tags load only after you allow optional measurement.
Data Retention and Security
We retain personal information for as long as needed to operate the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information and whether your account remains active.
For live interviews, audio is streamed for transcription and is not stored by InterviewCopilot. Final system-audio and microphone transcript segments are stored with your account for conversation continuity, session support, and future transcript-history features. You may request deletion by contacting us, and account deletion removes associated transcript segments.
For AI mock interviews, we retain audio for up to 30 days. The transcript and coaching report remain in your account until you delete the session. We configure the meeting bot not to create a meeting video recording.
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information, but no system can be guaranteed completely secure. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your own devices and credentials.
Your Rights and Contact
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, or to object to certain processing. You may also cancel your subscription at any time through your account billing settings.
